Happy Birthday J-Pepp!!!!

I wanted to send a birthday shout out to my man Julius Peppers, who turned 29 today. As any of my friends and family can attest too, I am by far the biggest Julius Peppers fan in California.

I have every color authentic Pep jersey, bobblehead, poster, fathead, McFarlane figurine, card, newspaper article. I have a ball signed by him, a jersey framed signed by him, and a photo of me and him from the 49er game in SF 4 years ago, signed by him this year at the Oakland game. Before I moved my garage looked like I would imagine any respectable Carolina sports bar to look like (except for all my Oakland A's stuff too).

My friends have a passionate hatred for Pep because I get 4-5 sacks per game with him on Madden, and never stop talking poo saying they can't stop him.

It is more or less a man crush, but I digress...

I'm a Panthers fan first and foremost, and I'd like to take this time to say that when the inevitable happens and he leaves, I hope he plays like 2007 for the rest of his career. I now know that he had no mysterious illness in '07, and just gave up, and only played hard this year to raise stock to get the hell out of here. 2-3 years this has been his plan and it pisses me off.

And so now, like the bitterest of ex-wives or girlfriends, I will be getting rid of all of that poo. Maybe I could sell it to one of my buddies if he goes to the 3-4 scheme 49ers...

Sorry guys, had to let it out.

So Pep, here's to you buddy. :dita:

End Rant.

Montsta, I don't think I have ever seen you post on here before but with that post you just earned a lot of respect in my book. Panther Fan First and Foremost!

fug the haters. I got 2 authentic Julius Peppers jerseys and I would still wear them proudly. Ive been hard on the guy in the past at times and Pep still has room for improvement as a player but I still love Pep and what he brought to Carolina. No matter how this plays out I wish him the best and still regard him as 1 of the best players to ever put on a Panther unform. Happy 29th #90.

If I ever see Peppers hoisting the Lombardi trophy for another team, I think I might actually break down and cry like a little bitch.

That being said, King Taharqa I do respect what Pep has done for the team, I think it's the fassion in which he aired the laundry at the end, and is going to break this team up in the long run that pisses me off.

Say you are a young player in Carolina or a young, talented FA. You hear this poo from him and start thinking, if a beast like that can't over-acheive in Carolina, what can I do? Locker room starts to break up and get divided and so on. God forbid we have another disappointing defensive year, and other guys start thinking about how Pep left, and all of a sudden our beloved franchise is set back 3-4 years at least.

Of course, this is a worst case, doom and gloom kind of scenario, but we all know that it is not outside the realm of possibility...

    • And, yes, I've been a slow boil, but watching continually watching shitty displays of football for weeks has me frustrated.
    • Bryce just didn't maximize Hunter Renfrow's skills. ***rant incoming*** But this isn't just about Bryce Young mistiming passes to Renfrow so bad that he's going to get Renfrow killed or hurt, this is also about incompetentence by Dave Canales. Renfrow can still play. He's putting DBs in a blender out there---making them play twister at the top of routes to keep up with him, and dumb Dave has the nerve to cut him. How about putting Hunter in the best position to help the damned offense by appreciating his skill set, DC? You're letting Bryce's apparent inability to make an accurate throw, or at least his timidity to push the ball down the damned field cloud your judgment and miscalculate talent---or maybe just miss on talent just as much as Bryce misses passes due to playing pussified football. It's fúcking unacceptable.  Speaking of misjudgment, I don't know if it's Dan Morgan or Canales, but Eijiro Evero is not the business at DC. I have said a few times that his scheme is not conducive to run-stopping efficiency. Hell, and after watching some clips of plays, now I absolutely know why. The gaps are at least half open before the play even fúcking starts. You are setting the opposition's RBs up for success with too much damned space at the line and in the second level. If our guys are taken out in these areas---at the line and in the second level---then the defense is screwed because it must rely on the safeties to cover too much ground to make the tackle. At least put Ransom in who is motivated to seek and destroy if you're going to effectively leave the safeties on an island.  And speaking of rookies, get our two new defensive ends more snaps to see if we can't generate more of a pass rush. For all the good the continued sorry display of defense that you're putting out for fan's to see (Ejiro, Dave and Dan), you may as well get the rookies generously involved. Fúck that money we gave second-rate (maybe second-rate) vets, we need a damned spark getting after the QB. Watch it, it's just another breakdown of the sh¡t we were subjected to last week. I say this with all respect: Fúck you, Dave! Fúck you, Dan! Learn how to run a fúcking franchise. Maximize the players, regardless of what you think you're supposed to do by the book. Cut the dead weight before another season is lost and fans lose interest in September. EE is "Ew!" Or for emphasis "EEw!" /end rant
    • But nobody is saying he is a good deep ball passer.  But the facts are since he's returned from his benching, he has been throwing downfield.  Whether you want to credit the scheme, Bryce himself, or whatever, he has been pushing it deep.  Not to any positive results mind you, but it has been happening.
