Lovie Smith: "Julius Peppers didn't do a good enough job"

Peppers, who was occasionally double-teamed but often left one-on-one against tackle Russell Okung, was credited with just two tackles.

"Julius Peppers didn't do a good enough job, like I didn't do a good enough job and everyone else," Bears coach Lovie Smith said.

That was a short honeymoon.

Depends on how the quote came about. If he was asked, did Julius peppers do a good enough job, then he really didn't single Peppers out. If he said that out of the blue, then he was singling out peppers.

He didn't mention peppers, but he did say team effort. So basically i don't think he called him out, but I'll pretend that he did for the hell of it.

You realize that was an edited interview. Or are you suggesting the Chicago Tribune lied abouit what Smith said?
