He should get it cause he deserves it. He played lights out today. Congratulations Matt Moore and welcome back!

Oh and.........OUR FIRST WIN! GO PANTHERS!

he played ok, only reason panther fans thought he played lights out is because he played better than hog poo

I was one of Moore's biggest detracters after he was benched. I am glad to see him play better and to show some of what we hoped he would be when the season started. If this is the Moore we get for the rest of the year then I will be happy.

However, this game does not exonerate him from the shitty play he had earlier in the season. The best thing for him was to get benched. He was wretched those first two games.

Seems like he took the benching with grace and used it as an opportunity to re-learn what got him the job in the first place.

If anyone is going to get an MVP from this game it is Gettis. That kid is quickly turning into the real deal.

panthers got lucky. With SF QB out of the game, i think it would have been alot different. Matt Moore plays like that against a GOOD team. Then ill eat my crow.

P.S looks like we finally have good recievers! About time. Took all of 5 games for you guys to show up!! Haha

What does the fact that Alex Smith was out of the game have to do with Matt Moore looking like Joe Montana?

    • Pretty sure that a QB contract payday is all the competition any QB in this league needs, I don't think a competent backup is going to make them play any harder when the current situation wouldn't warrant the contract extension yet anyways. Your opening point in this post is also the problem, "Bryce has shown signs of improving", but that's still all he's shown, and he's only showing that because of just how bad he was to start his career. If he played like last season from the beginning and never improved one bit, then I actually think more fans would be ready to move on from him, which is what's weird.  It's like going from one of the biggest draft busts of all time into the 25th best QB in the league over 3 years means he deserves a long term $40+ million a year contract extension. Improvement shouldn't be the goal when the result of said improvement is still bottom of the league levels.
    • Yeah, but we've seen him do it. Just not often. I think that's the reason for the taller WRs. Would likely be a problem finding someone like Jimmy Horn in the mess.
    • And the Rams, Seattle, Patriots, Green Bay, Jaguars and the Bills who all made the playoffs and in case you forgot, Seattle and the Patriots played in the SB. By any measure, that's pretty brutal.
