Injury update: Williams misses practice, Otah and more....

I don't really believe that either. I'm thinking they found out later it's more serious than they wanna say it is and thus taking a very long time(maybe the surgery didn't go as good or something wrong in the rehab process)

or there's something else .....money related maybe? Was he up for a contract re-negotiation or something like that? Or perhaps personal problems/family issues?

The reason I think that is if they really did know that his injury would take 4-5 months like you say, they would have probably just IR-ed him this year.

Patrick Jeffers?

Sometimes these type of injuries repair themselves and don't require surgery. Sometimes they start to heal and then they get torn further, sometimes they don't heal like they thought they would and need surgery.

Obviously they felt it would heal on it's own and it didn't so they went with surgery.

I really doubt it was money or contract related at all. They expected him back and are suffering the consequences of not doing the surgery sooner. They waiting hoping it would heal itself that is as simple as it was. As for not IRing him, they did that with guys in the past and wished they hadn't down the road. Frankly with the lack of free agent signings, they didnt need to IR him because they wouldn't have signed anyone else. LOL

True they don't seem to be interested in spending money.

I do wonder if that would have changed though had they put him on IR. It's almost too late now even if he doesn't come back. Hard to bring someone other than him on the O-line this late in the season and expect him to mesh in with the chemistry in just a couple of games to make that O-line work any better. Even with him, I think that will be an issue for a couple of games, but at least he's done his job well in the past and knows what he needs to do. I hope he still makes it back in time.

I think most people are just tired of hearing Fox say day-to-day. You say that when a guy is probably going to come back within a week or two. But he's been saying that almost since the beginning of the season.

The day-to-day of which month or year?
