Thats kinda messed up that NASCAR wont let Penske put the Verison logo on the 12 car.

the same issue with Jeff Burtons Car...

Jeff Burton’s No. 31 Chevrolet wasn’t dressed in plain orange and black, as Richard Childress Racing was given permission to apply the logos of sponsor AT&T back on the car.

There is one condition. The agreement with NASCAR and series title sponsor Sprint Nextel means the team’s cars, uniforms and equipment can carry the AT&T name and logos through the end of the 2008 season. AT&T must be long gone by 2009.

That's why he's got the CATERPILLER #31 this season, not AT&T.

Michael's running out of funds...

In other news :

NASCAR NEWS - Jeff Gordon fires entire pit crew ! This announcement followed Gordon's decision to take advantage of the*government's scheme to employ Harlem youngsters.*** The decision to hire them was brought about by a recent documentary*on how unemployed youths from Harlem were able to remove a set of*wheels in less than 6 seconds without proper equipment, whereas*Gordon's existing crew could only do it in 8 seconds with millions of*dollars worth of high tech equipment.** It was thought to be an*excellent and bold move by Gordon's management team as most races are*won or lost in the pits.**However-Gordon got more than he bargained*for! ** At the crew's first practice session, not only was the inexperienced*crew able to change all 4 wheels in under 6 seconds, but within 12*seconds they had*changed the paint scheme,*altered the Vin number, and*sold the car to Dale Jr. for 10 cases of Bud, a bag of weed, and some*photos of Jeff Gordon's wife in the shower.*

    • I watched a clip of all the offensive snaps. Young threw into some tight coverage and the guys made some plays on the ball. He also really missed some throws.  He has this middle of the field thing into a tight window pretty good and made three or four nice plays but he was just too inconsistent with his accuracy especially in the red zone. Today and in general.    That Int where people were chastising Legette for ‘not fighting through the coverage’, he in no way could have gotten to that ball. IMO. I think he thought it was going to hit the ground and didn’t see the defender coming for it. But not sure what he could have done. The camera doesn’t show the spatial relationship very well, I think the ball was way off. maybe 6 feet or more off target to the inside of the field.  Rico is a beast. And a very good receiver.   That was my impression without dissecting and rewinding, just letting the video roll. I did rewind the int two or three times to look at that one.
    • My biggest issue with keeping Darnold, which I felt we should have done, is we would still have Fitterer. And everything that came with that.  I think Morgan is going to be good.  Baker, just did not play well at all here. Not sure what else we were supposed to take away from it at the time.  That’s my short ‘I don’t want to argue about it’ take.
    • Even if we somehow make the playoffs we will be one and done so fast. Seattle, Rams, TB, Panthers, Detroit and Philly are all better than us.
