My brother is getting into photography and frequently asks me what I think. I'm a bit biased and don't know much about the finer point of the art. With the broad array of people here I thought I would post a link to his stuff if anyone is interested in checking it out. There's animals, landscapes, flowers, my son, sports, models, etc, etc.

Feel free to leave comments on what you think, he's looking for honest feedback.

For those who care, he's using a Nikon D40 I think, but I don't know which lenses he has. I know the one he wants is 7k.

Anyway, I appreciate it and hope you enjoy the pics as much as I do.

Cool Pics.

Nikon's are the only camera to use. IMO

May I make a suggestion to him? As a semi-professional photographer with 30 years experience, I have had some of my photographs appear in magazines.

Tell him to forget about the 1/3 rule. Where your subject should be in the center of the picture. That's not how pictures should be. No one wants to see grass, unless it's the hills of Ireland, or Kentucky grass that is "blue".

These are examples of the subject in the middle of the picture.

Now, here are examples of pictures with the subject at the bottom.

I think everyone will agree, that these are much better. The first 2 shots are examples of what I am talking about.

However, there are times that the ground is as interesting as the scenery. Example of the 3rd shot. Where you have the train and the running water beneath it.

    • I'm salty every time I see someones mid picks become stars while we throw first and second rounders over and over and they all stink outside of Tet (who still has a lot to prove, imo)
    • There is a contingent that is total Bryce but they weathervane with the wind. When the good Bryce wind blows about once or twice a month we hear a lot from them. But they are always pro Bryce, they just don’t pipe up too much when he sucks. I can’t speak for them, as far as what they are looking at.    In a second contingent, the collective mind is made up. He has had had basically three years worth of starts that might include a top tier outing or two, a few second tier outings, offset by about the same number of bottom tier outings which actually may have the edge there.  The rest of his stuff is third tier and that is going to be the bulk of his starts. We want to move on. And we aren’t getting off of that hill until he puts us off of it. He has not.    There is a third contingent that has no conviction and definitely weather vanes. Bryce is good. Bryce isn’t good. Depending on the latest game. They will buy into 7 on 7 success so that should tell you something.
    • Nacua is really fuging good. He might be a better version of Cooper Kupp.
