The Beason Hit & Fine... Illegal hits of Week 9

Sorry if there is a thread about this...

Beason has been fined for his hit($10k). Now I'm wondering what exactly the NFL is issueing fines for. it didn't even look like he lead with his helmet at all, but because of how the players collided his helmet hit Colston's shoulder pads. am I wrong? Does anyone have a DVR of the game they can look at? Can't find it online...

I generally agree with protecting players but geez, some of the stuff just seems a bit over the top... giving the offensive player a lot of leeway and the D absolutely none.

Beason has been fined before and he'll be fined again. I honestly don't care. At least he's not on IR. That's about all you can ask out of our linebackers.

Anything happen to Sharper for his hit on J-Stew? Because if he didn't, there's gonna be some rumble in the jungle.

Nothing has happened to Sharper and as far as I know the hit was ruled legal because he didn't lead with his helmet, AND it was not on a defenseless player.

I believe I'm going to start doing an "illegal fine" thread each week. It will consist of all the bogus fines-with video of the hits- that the league issues each week of the season as Roger Goodell continues his quest to become the worst league commissioner in all of sports history.

go for it. You should also make quotes of the officials explaining each one, 'cause I love how they struggle to defend them after games sometimes, like in the video I linked

Let me clear up all of this confusion on illegal hits for you guys.

If you hit another player hard enough to make people go "Oh, poo!" and that player is a WR or QB who is a "star" on his team, then the hit was illegal.
