Do you like them? I don't. It's supposed to be a team game. Just play another 5 on 5 and then 4 on 4 or play a 4 on 4 and then a 3 on 3. Shootouts are just about the individual rather than the team.

I think after a full overtime period of 4 on 4 a shootout would be fine. 5 minutes isn't much time for a team to score.

Or any time combination with any of the 2 options I mentioned above would be great. It just sucks for a team like the Canes to battle a great team like the Pens that far just for it to come down to facing some of the best players in the game 1 on 1 with your average, but scrappy, goal tender (Peters).

shoot outs in the regular season is fair. If you wanna win, make moves to do so in regulation.

I back this statement. Shootouts are fine, because so many games are on weeknights and you have to give the fans a resolution as early as possible. That being said, I am not against having the overtime period be 10 minutes instead of 5.

I love Shootouts, just wish Carolina was better at them. lol

Shoot outs are exciting if you ask me, however I would love to see 5 more minutes of 4 on 4 hockey. Thats just me though

That goaltender was ridiculous on Pittsburgh's side. If all goalies were that good then Shootouts would be pointless. It almost felt like they were cheating.

Yea, that certainly wasn't good goaltending. All he had to do was sit back and watch as Skin and Juice self-destructed in front of him.
