Met Mike Vrabel tonight (amusing Panthers content- ok, not really)

Met Mike Vrabel at the bowling alley tonight - very nice guy. Seemed to enjoy that I knew he played for the Steelers. I didn't bother him for long, as he was there with his family; as we were chatting I said that it's cool what they're doing in KC to turn things around but that I was a Panthers fan at heart and that it's been a tough year for them. He tried to stifle it a bit, but a big smile came across his face and he said, "That's the great thing about the NFL - you never know what's going to happen."

Here is a picture of Mike with my friend's husband (and blurry son) - he is a huge Patriots fan and was pretty stoked to meet him. Classy guy.

Did you ask him what happens if you run it on first down and second down and every opposing coach can predict your play calling? If that doesn't work just put your rookie un-proven QB in a 3rd and long..

He was very nice about it. Stayed neutral and we quickly swung back towards the Chiefs, but to me that smile said, "Yeah, what a trainwreck". Not like it's a secret that Carolina sucks this year, but it was funny to see that reaction from an NFL player.

Met him once too in Ohio. And while he was nice to me personally, my general opinion is he's kind of a prick. The whole thing of taunting fans like he was going to throw a football then walking away was the kind of move only a jackhole would do.
