What was John Elway representing the Broncos doing at the Orange Bowl game last night then? It could still technically be called "in the season". And it was pretty much common knowledge that Elway was sent there to sweet talk Harbaugh into coming to Denver.

I don't have any doubt that part of Elway's purpose there was to try and sweet talk Harbaugh.

Some indications today that it might not have gone over quite as well as hoped.

The hilarity of it all is, JR tried to be as blunt as possible, and yet there is still so much speculation as to "what he really meant was..."

As for Gantt and other reporters, if you think about it, pretty much just have to save face after being directly contradicted by JR, and that is not unexpected.
