let's face it, JR really didn't make Carolina that attractive for a rookie on the fence.

No coach. Admitting you aren't gonna sign any of your players until a CBA is reached when guys have gotten deals left and right all year. Carolina looks like a big unstable mess right now. Carolina has taken a huge PR hit....even if not true about being cheap and even flat out not caring recently.

Can you blame a kid for not wanting to walk into the great unknown that is Carolina. I mean if were on the fence to begin with.....there was nothing do push him this way.

It doesn't really make any sense to blame JR because if he hadn't gutted the roster and kept john fox for his last year then we wouldn't be drafting luck anyway

well i am sure Luck has atleast been thinking about the team that could draft him. JR acting like he didnt even know who Harbough was during the presser probably didnt appeal to well to anyone at Stanford, including Luck.

add to that the fact we have only publicly been interviewing DC's probably didnt excite Luck too much about the direction of the franchise. who could blame him?

Gotta at least agree that Panthers have a huge PR problem and wouldn't exactly excite a player to come out early. No known coach, no free agents and every NFL pundit on national tv talking about how cheap Jerry is and the NFL CBA is more important than the panthers.
