DeAngelo Williams

I had him this year after a trade, and i ended up almost making the playoffs because of him. I was in a tie with a couple other people, and they had the tiebrakers. Question is...what overall pick do you think he will be drafted come next season?

Top 10 if they're smart.

I won it all because of him.

Some of them laughed and scoffed since their crystal balls told them that Stew would start....and he may just yet but DeAngelo showed us what he's made of.

I hope I get lucky enough to get him again....

He didn't get the pick of the fans in the ProBowl cause we're a small market team. He didn't get the nod for a number of awards that he deserved. Watch out!!!

He'll earn them next season.

i know there is only a few RBs i would take ahead of him. and alot of elite RBs looked like they got old this season, including tomlinson, portis, westbrook and LJ. i think the only RBs i would take ahead of deangelo would be peterson or turner. pretty much makes him a top 3 pick in my book, especially since no-one will ever take brady in the top 5 again.

im in a keeper league and I have dwill, AP, fitz. calvin johnson and jay cutler

i can keep 3

fitz and AP then I am confused on who to keep.

who would yall keep?

I'd keep deangelo. its hard to find a great RB that puts up the numbers that DW does. CJ and cutler are both good though.

i am thinking that jonathan stewart may take some more of his carries this season though, so kinda hard to tell between deangelo and cutler.

yea that is what i was thinking about jstew....and in our league wr's and rb's are dominant...so i am thinking about keeping calvin johnson...we will see how the offseason goes, i have up to the draft to make my decision

I would keep Cutler because I believe in keeping a QB who will consistently produce, no matter who the opposition is. Cutler will be a top 5 QB in most leagues (regardless of set up).

As for D-Will, I think he will be a top 5 RB pick. That's as much as I can tell ya.

I am somewhat of a BPA guy, but I have had success with taking QBs in the first round, particularly if they are in the top 5. Others do not take that approach, and always take RBs first. If possible, you want to get into the heads of those who are participating in your league.

Just guessing, I would think that there would be enough people who believe in RBs that Deangelo will be gone by the 9th pick, and most definitely the 12th.

    • So I looked into some of the data and here are some things I came up with using this specific article from the NFL: https://operations.nfl.com/gameday/analytics/stats-articles/what-we-learned-about-quarterback-push-sneaks-during-the-2022-nfl-season/   So, skipping all the math in determining the total amount of plays in that six year span and averaging it out on a per game basis for all 32 teams, it basically comes out to 6.8 "sneak" plays per season from 2017-2022. So, I also assumed since the basis of this article is on the rise of sneak plays in general over the time period that it has increased at a linear scale until this current season(2025). That would mean basically 9 sneak plays per season, per team.  Using the figures from your article snippet regarding success rate(assuming it is current/accurate) of traditional running plays vs. sneak plays that it would result in a total of 1.6 less successful plays per season without the ability to run a QB sneak at all. I guess my question is, what 1.6 plays have you see each year Bryce that would have resulted in.....well...much of anything different?
    • 4-3, over 500 for first time in career, bills coming off a bye week with a weak defense, hasnt really shown he’s worth an extension, etc. plus if he misses this game then you definitely sit him against Green Bay.
    • I think horn was covering Jake Ferguson that game which I can understand. Pickens is a monster and most corners in the league can’t man him up, obviously not Jackson. But we absolutely do not have a linebacker that can stay with Ferguson.
