The only game I watched of Locker's was the Holiday Bowl. Based on his stats and highlights this past year I was not expecting a lot. I am glad I watched the game though. He put up atrocious stats, 5/16 for 56 yards, but this was a classic example of stats not telling the whole story.

In the first half especially, his receivers were blanketed and most of his passes ended up in the stands, to his team's benefit. On the occasion there was a receiver open, the ball was dropped. Despite all that, with his rushing ability, and his awareness not to turn the ball over, he came back from an injury in the first quarter to lead Washington to a huge upset. And in the second half, with the defense loosened up, he actually passed the ball well too.

Like I said, this was the only game of Locker's I saw. He may end up a bust in the NFL. My point though is to be careful about judging Locker if you're just looking at stats or highlights because, especially on the team he is, that can be flawed.

I really don't see us drafting a QB in the first round. There's just not a QB in the draft as talented at his position as Peterson, Green, Fairley or Bowers are at theirs. We're either sticking with Jimmy or bringing in a guy like Kolb or Orton.

Aside from Locker's prospects, I am definitely against drafting a QB just to be drafting one. If the Panthers believe there is a QB close to the other players, that may make sense, but if not, draft the BPA. Considering our general talent level, this team can't afford to reach for a QB if there are significantly greater prospects at other positions available.

With an owner preparing for a lock-out, who knows? Luck was looking for stability (aka hiring a coach or at least interviewing JH) just hire somebody, even a OC or a DC.

I had a bad feeling we would f*** this opportunity up. Really what do you do now... overpay or go the route the Texans went and sign and draft a top 10 pick, but not a top 5 who will demand top pick money? Robert Quinn anyone (aka little pep)?
