No quarterbacks in the draft

I don't think it's out of the question that we do go QB this year, TBH. Let's not forget that Jake Locker was a lock for the 1st pick last year had he come out. He had a down year, but was considered THE top prospect prior to that. If only having one good year isn't a problem for Fairley, then why is having one down year amid an otherwise great college career enough to knock Locker down to the bottom of the round?

Blaine Gabbert interests me. He's got the build, intelligence, and intangibles you look for in a top flight QB. Sure, he played in a spread offense, but so did Bradford,The Golden Calf of Bristol, and many other QB's that were drafted lately. Clausen played in a pro style offense and it didn't seem to give him any edge. Plus, Gabbert's got a HUGE arm and can make all the NFL throws.

I really do feel like if Jay Gruden (or whoever our QB coach is) decides during the scouting process that Gabbert or Locker or Mallett have the skillset and mindset that he can develop into an NFL QB that he'll tell Hurney and that given how badly J.R. seems to want his franchise QB we might just take the guy.

    • If you're going to try and hold me saying he looks like crap in during his rookie year against me vs me trying to stay positive in the present and say that the hourly posting shitting on him is annoying and confusing because who the hell spends that much time on something they don't enjoy, I can't really help you. you're exaggerating and holding onto the past like a female. you just said in another thread that his excellent games vs the Rams has you feeling guilty for feeling any positivity. that is some true loser stuff right there, definitely not someone that is a fan of something. keep trying.
    • generally speaking, going by the original NFL international marketing rights announcement... we would expect to host a Germany home game once every four years.  Doesn't mean we would play internationally only then, just the guarantee home game situation things might have changed since then, if they figure out how to play at more stadiums during a season to expand the number of "home" teams available
    • Munich won't happen. It's a Lions home game in Munich, but we play the Lions at home at BOA Most likely to happen would be Madrid vs the Falcons (although KC has been pushing hard for this one). From a schedule perspective, it would be interesting to have an early November Madrid game (then the bye week), then close out the season at BOA for the 2nd game vs the falcons.  In other words, put the two division games in the 2nd half of the season Paris vs the Saints has long been rumored to be the Browns (but... never say never) We wouldn't play Munich, Melbourne, Mexico City, London, or Rio based on who those announced home teams happen to be
