ya, I have that problem too and it sucks! If you are going to call someone by their middle name, then by all means, just make that their first name instead! Never made sense to me!

Someone I know, for her whole life has been called by her middle name and then a few years ago she started wanting to be called by her first name. I've tried to call her by the name she wants but I usually fail because of habit. Irritation. Pick one and stick with it.

It's a pain in the ass when setting user accounts for those fugers too. Get form from HR that says Fred Scott Jones, set their account to [email protected], and then get a call saying, "I go by Scott and want email to be [email protected]". I then say, STFU, you should get your names reversed or go by Fred.

My son goes by his middle name. He's never complained; he knows his first name came from my dad. My husband goes by his middle name, and my dad went by his and had a jr tag.

Ty actually has a first name, two middle names, and a last name. He understands the reason and seems fine with it.

What's even more annoying is when you are filing out an application and it says, First Name Middle Initial, Last Name. That happens all the time.
