Concerning the lockout

Alright so there is a 'lockout' let's say. Does this mean there is a lockout until terms are agreed on?

For instance what would happen if an agreement was made one month into the season?

More importantly what exactly guarantees football is played next year? What if there is still no deal? Is it just an assumption by next year a deal will be made, and it is assumed it will be before the season?

Are these guys just taking a year off for negotiations?

I am just trying to figure out how much football, exactly, is all this bickering potentially going to cost me?

Then they would schedule games as quickly as possible and likley play a shortened season

More importantly what exactly guarantees football is played next year? What if there is still no deal? Is it just an assumption by next year a deal will be made, and it is assumed it will be before the season?

The 1 year threshold is important because the owners get paid by the TV deal for the next season whether there is football or not (although they have to pay it back) It would be extremely unlikely for a lockout to go more than a year

Nobody knows. my opinion is that we will not lose any football
