Dead Space 2

Just picked this up last night. I was going to pick up the Collectors Edition for PS3 but I didn't want to wait on shipping, so I just dropped by Walmart and got the "LE" PS3 version.

I played the first one without much background on it and loved it. Not sure what to expect out of 2, and I've played like 10 minutes of it. Enjoying it so far. Anyone else played it?

If you liked the first one it's more of the same. They give Isaac some personality, but he seems a little bland. The multiplayer is fun if you have a team that doesn't treat the game like a death match.

I enjoyed it a lot, but it's my type of game. They apparently set out to make Isaac more than an "errand boy", but I ddin't really see it here. Javelin gun is pretty sweet.

Sounds like they threw another story in, and then tossed in multiplayer and that is about it. Nothing wrong with that considering the first one was pretty awesome.

I hope it doesn't creep me out too much. ;) They like to make things jump out and use sound to play with your head. I actually love how they use the sound.

Dead Space was amazing. Haven't had the time to play this one yet.

Picked it up. I never played the first Dead Space. Not because I didn't want to, but I could never fit it in with everything else I was playing. I'm in Chapter 4 or 5 right now. I dig it. It's better when you play late at night with all the lights off and with some headphones. Not as scary to me as the first couple of Resident Evil's but it's pretty good.

The Dead Space games are truly games that are pretty good without surround sound, AWESOME with surround.

The first one was very good, and you should be able to get it on the cheap now. Since it was the first there will be some minor steps backwards in gameplay, but you'll still enjoy it, probably a lot.
