D-Will a UFA

Zod

Recommended Posts

I hope you're wrong Zod. DWill has not only been one of our best players, if not the best player, on the field, he's shown to be an outstanding person off of it. I hope we keep him regardless.

But, I can see how having Stewart, Goodson, and Sutt would trick our FO into letting him walk if the price was too steep.

WHOA WHOA WHOA.... Everybody stop and breathe! I don't see how the players or teams would agree to these terms as it stands this year.

I think that this years FA will go under last years rules... An an acceptiion for the unreal circumstances... Everybody calm down and just chill for a min.... Let's see how it all plays out before we get our pantiesin a wad before 10:30 on a Sunday am....

Everybody needssome Jesus.... The only way DeAngello leaves is if he's given way more$$$$... I could see him taking less to stay... He's just that kind of guy... I know this because I've hung out with him several times....

Let's just all watch Schefter and Mort, and Saol and get some clarification on what's going to happen.... Then we'll riot in the streets. Until then, get u some Jesus and some lunch b4 the USA Womens soccer team wins GOLD!

name me a team that does different?

He is a free agent. He has played out his contract. He is free to do whatever he wants.

He says he wants to remain a panther. If that's true, then he will sign a new contract with the panthers after the cba is done. If not, he is free to go wherever he wants to. That is the whole point of free agency.

Its sad that there are so many fans that really believe that teams regularly get something from their free agents, other than the normal comp pick. The nfl isn't a madden game. Ya just don't trade away core players before they get to free agency.

qft.

Armchair GM's amuse me.

FWIW when exactly do you trade DWill ? Before he gets hurt when you have stewart that may or may not have injury issues ? After he gets hurt when you finally realize Goodson is a player ?

I want to send him to GreenBay to be honest. But there was a risk and rarely do teams best players get shipped off.

Almost got swag and pi til you said (what's in bold)

Why would u want to send him to another NFC team? Especially to GB?

You were right about everybody else, then they dragged u down with them. You are better than this Kurb!

Why don't we just wait and see before we all start bitching. I agree I'll be pissed if he goes somewhere else and we end up empty handed. It's not the mistake it's that this has happened way to much in our organization's history and needs to be fixed. But if we somehow resign him who can really bitch?

FWIW when exactly do you trade DWill ? \

1. Before he walks away for nothing

2. Needs can already be filled more than adequate

3. Interest from a desperate team is shown (Packers, 2010)

What else would you need exactly? If JR somehow knows that dwill will take a fair price than of course all of that is worthless.

Just being honest really. I was thinking that GreenBay would give us the world for a back like him. It would have been a risk. Especially considering we didn't know what we may or may not have in Goodson at the time.

    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
    • Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
    • Best part is if we draft him, we can also use him as our fourth and one QB sneaker
