Clausen will start next season. I believe they will sign good pass catching TE and with number one overall pick, carolina, will pick Julio Jones. Julio Jones had screw installed in his foot today by panthers doctor... Rivera will play spread offense with 3-4 WRs and TE which will open up the field and make it eithier for Jimmy.

Rivera isn't a lame duck coach. He isn't going to waste time with a qb that doesn't fit his system. He has made it known from day 1 that his number one priority is to find a qb. He doesn't have time to waste a season like Fox did.

If you are Rivera there is little reason to start Clausen week 1. IMO it is pretty obvious he plans to have a better option at qb to start the season.....but that isn't saying much. Not only a better option but one that fits his scheme which Clausen doesn't. Rivera is still going to play to the strengths of his players....and that is the OL and RBs. QB is gonna have to sit in the pocket and attack downfield like Chud did with Clev.
