Double Trouble flash mob/bowling party this past weekend

Double Trouble hosted a flash mob/bowling party event this past weekend for members of the doubletrouble3428.com site (no, I'm not selling anything).

The flash mob was a dance thing they did at the EpiCenter here in Charlotte, here's a vid (DeAngelo and Stew can be seen towards the bottom of the vid a little ways into it):

Pick up anything on whether DLo expects to be back? (Although, I guess it's bad timing to "pick up" anything with such labor uncertainty)

I don't think he knows what to expect, he wants to come back... but like others he was told a few weeks ago that nothing will be discussed until the CBA is resolved.

I hope we can keep those two together, we'll need them if/when we have a season.

Agreed, you can always fall back on a good running game and both Goodson and Sutton have shown flashes but I'm not sure either of those guys are even close to being ready to fill DeAngelo's shoes.

Honorable mention to Sutton by the way, he's a really nice guy - exactly in the mold of DeAngelo and Stew. He hung around the party all night and was more than willing to chat with folks, etc.

Yeah I've seen good thing's from Goodson and Sutton. Dwill is just the type of guy you know is solid on and off the field. I know he's been hurt some but who has'nt been from time to time at the RB position. Love Dwill!!

He is by far the most down to earth professional athlete I've ever met (and I've met quite a few).

Spend enough time around him and you'll honestly forget you're talking to an elite NFL player.

I will be a DeAngelo Williams fan for life, I don't care if he goes and plays for the Falcons, Cowboys, etc... I will root for DeAngelo, much more because of who he is off the field than who he is on it.

I was eating lunch today and overheard a guy behind me at another table badmouthing DWill. He was going on and on about how selfish he is and how he doesn't like fans all because the guy asked him for an autograph in an inopportune time. I wish I would have seen this post earlier and smacked him in the face with it.

I have never seen DeAngelo refuse to autograph something and I can't imagine him doing that (especially in a mean way) unless he was in the middle of taking a leak or changing his baby's diaper, or something to that effect.

I swear it's fun watching idiots with no sense of timing ask for autographs, I'd bet that's what happened to the guy you overhead but I still doubt DeAngelo would be rude or mean about it.

I was at practice one day and a deaf guy was there. As practice broke up he asked the strength coach if he could get a football. The strength coach very quietly went back into the practice field and got him a ball. The guy noticed DeAngelo walking down the path away from practice and actually went on the other side of the barrier to try and get an autograph. At that moment, DeAngelo would have been totally justified to turn this guy down or just keep walking, but he stopped, walked back and signed this guy's football.

Let's hope we can root for him as a Panther, but I would too catman. I'd be sore about it if he went to the Pats though.

It would really hurt to see him in a Pats, Cowboys or Falcons uniform but I would continue to root for him.

Same deal for Stew and Beason, they are both first class and always make time for fans.

    • I knew very little about this player before we drafted him. When I read scouting reports about him I understood the pick and thought it made sense as a late round receiver with speed and special teams ability but after watching him more closely and now adding his interviews into the equation I'm actually really excited about him. I know it's just RMC but I noticed him running his routes with this extra step that really stood out to me during the general video posted earlier without realizing who it was doing that.  His speed in his first cut is just on another level and it's visible. When I saw it I was **** whoa, who was that?! Then I saw Horn JR. and my first thought was oh it's him. I think it's very possible that he was under appreciated going into the draft due to his height and stats because he played at Colorado where the attention was on 2 other players but I think this dude's ceiling is way higher than most think it is. Especially after watching his interview. He looks hungry. I may have found my fav rook for this year's pre-season. I like pulling for underdogs anyway and as someone who played on the small side myself it just gives me more reason to cheer for him. The competition at WR looks like it's going to be fierce this season. I honestly can remember any preseason where I looked at out wr group and got past 3 players who I thought were interesting but this season I'm interested in at least 5 who have my attention going into the season.
    • Wilson should be getting called for at least 3 penalties a night even in the post season. How does he not lead the NHL in PM???
