Canes @ Islanders

Recommended Posts

Once again the Canes are in a "must win" game so to speak. The Canes are in New York winning five out of their last six games and hopefully they can add to that total. It should come as no suprise that Cam Ward is in the net again tonight and the regulars will be out their for the Canes tonight. Harrison and Bodie are still out.

Al Montoya is starting in the net tonight for the Islanders. He is 2-4 in his last six games in net including a 3-2 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.

Hopefully the Canes can keep it going and improve their playoff chances tonight.

Go Canes!!!

These fuggers better get their heads out of their asses and win this game. Staal has been invisible for the past few games. Just beat the fags from the island so we can get to the damn post season. I'm sick of every year hoping they pull out a play-off spot. Get it done!!!!!!!

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
