Do you understand how difficult it is to build a legit OL that makes a tandem of running backs the best in the league?? If we lost Gross and had to move Wharton to LT we would be the OL from 07 aka suck. Give the man his money. There are a few positions I don't mind overpaying for:

one slight correction, great teams are built with 3 cornerstones, QB, LT and RDE. MLB would be after that imho

Exactly. Gross is one of the premier OL's in the league. He is solid. Great OL's like him don't come around that often. Give him his money. Especially considering how insane of a running game the Panthers have right now they can't afford to lose solid lineman like Gross. That would take our running game a step back and that is the core of the Panthers offensive philosophy right now.

Gross has the Panthers by the short hairs. Should have tried harder last year to get the deal done.....easy to see this coming. so now, got to pay. Don't need to rebuild the Oline while rebuilding the Dline.
