Heading to Boone this weekend

My girlfriend and I are staying in a cabin this weekend in Boone. We will probably grill out and chill in the hot tub most of the time, but we want to go to a decent restaurant. What say you Huddle? Any recommendations?

Dan'l Boone Inn is amazing, as long as you're willing to wait for about a day and a half to get seated.

Other than that, Macado's or Black Cat is about as upscale as it gets here. Both of those can get crowded on Friday and Saturday nights when the student crowd makes its way through King Street.

We ended up going to Black Cat on Friday, cooking/grilling the rest of the weekend. Black Cat was pretty good.

Go to Capone's in downtown Boone and order the white pizza...it's awesome.

if you are only there for the weekend, then yes...do your own cooking etc...may as well get the full outdoor feel.

We went this past weekend. Got down there around 6 or so and didn't feel like cooking, so we went to Black Cat. Cooked and grilled the remainder of the time. It was awesome.

When we got to our cabin the last thing I wanted to do was leave it. Glad we brought in all our food and had a blast cooking it ourselves.
