Are the right pieces in place?

1) a strong offensive line

Untrue, our O-line was garbage last year, otah is always hurt and our guards dont belong in the league. This is not a position of strength

Wharton doesn't belong in the league?

Who would you like to replace him with, and how much do you want to spend?

wharton is very good at what he does. he also can play almost every position on the line.

4 winning seasons in 16 years.

I'm not quite sure what some of you think this team has in store. No, we can not just fill a few holes and magically become great. The right pieces are in place for mediocrity though, if that's what you mean. Before we fill holes, we need to change this organization's philosophy. Hopefully Rivera will lead that charge. If he does, then we can talk about a brighter future. It's sort of like the current Bobcats. Nothing will really get better until someone slaps Jordan in the face and tells him he's not doing a good job. Is Rivera man enough to tell JR and Hurney things need to change around here? I think yes. I hope yes.

And I doubt anyone expects us to go from 2-14 to great overnight. However, we can become competitive a lot quicker than many outsiders predict.

Much depends on whether or not the new staff pans out. I think they will.

Im all for drafting a QB but just like last year with JC I am completely against starting a rookie QB. Most people disagreed with me then also because JC was "NFL ready"

How did that turn out?

It would have turned out beautifully had Luck entered the draft.:biggrin5:
