Yeah I can see that. He was so exceptionally worried about Shae being in Kings Landing with him.

Perhaps the coming events with Sansa can allow him to show his chops.

I think they could have easily had Wilas in the show and had Sansa pining after Loras while they were trying to marry her to the cripple.

I think there still may be a Willas... The betrothal to Loras isn't happening anyways, so it only matters in a "what would have been" sense.

I liked this episode but it wasn't one of my favorites. The ending seemed really rushed and like a scene was missing or something.

I think:

The Cersei betrothal will be switched to Willas or Oberyn Martell (both uncasted) after Loras joins the kingsguard (which will probably be a move requested by Olenna once she finds out about Tywin's intentions.)

The brilliance of the show is it will ire certain people one week, and elate them the next.

I'm sure GRRM hates seeing some of his best chapters scrapped, but is enjoying that it can be filmed with great success.
