They are rushing.

Was the brunette that Rob is flirting with in the books ? I cant remember

Hate they took out the greendream kid and his sister

Spoilers:

That will probably end up being Jeyne Westerling, but there is speculation that TV will make her an eventual obvious Lannister plant (which is actually touched on in the books, at least implied that the Westerlings were in on the whole RW plot)... I am assuming the whole different name thing is a temporary cover... When Oona Chaplin (Charlie Chaplin's granddaughter) got the part, it was reported that she was playing a "Jeyne" but they didn't specify. We already say Jeyne Poole, so that only leaves one other Jeyne IIRC...

Also, I'm still not convinced the Reeds are gone... DAMMIT I HOPE NOT!

Az.

If that's her thats a pretty significant change from the books.

The girl is really pretty tho.

Looks like the Wildling woman is going to absorb all of the Reed's plotline.

Mistake IMO

hating a character doesn't mean the actor did a great job.

i don't think the actor that plays joffrey is good.... at all.

Agreed, and you are very much entitled to your opinion. Have you read the series? I don't say that rhetorically, I very much enjoy hearing opinions of readers and non-readers alike. Hate his acting or love it, he nails Joff.

1. Why don't you guys use the spoiler tags? or are u just too lazy? *shrugs*

2. With the ratings GOT gets and the cult like following it hs I don't see HBO cancelling it unless it falls which I only see it growing.

haven't read the books yet. might pick up the first one sometime this summer.

he may play the character well but everything seems corny and fake to me when joffrey has center stage.

I think they did a great job with Theon sacking Winterfell. After the death of Ned Stark, GRRM probably will never out-shock the readers again quite like that, but this was pretty sudden in the show of the non-readers I watch it with. In the book, he conspires on his way to Winterfell for a few chapters before landing there, so the shock isn't nearly as big.

Re-watched it last night, and still think Alfie and Jack pull off Theon and Joff so well. Again, there really is no true villain or hero in the books. Joffrey is just an idiot and Theon is incredibly conflicted. Casual viewers might not have picked up on the fact that the Starks kidnapped Theon at an early age, but Theon looked up to Ned like his real father (Balon, his real dad, is a total dick to Theon btw). He obviously doesn't want to truly hurt or kill anyone, and wants to run Winterfell like Ned did (He doesn't decapitate Rodrick in the book, but I liked the change as it kind of built his arc). Going to be interesting to see how they play out both characters.

My favorite characters after the 5th book in no particular order:

Reek, Littlefinger, Varys, Tyrion, Jaime.

Jofferey is the closest thing to a human villain in the series that I am aware of. You can polish it by saying he's an antagonist, but just because it doesn't fit the familiar archetype of villain/hero doesn't mean he isn't one.

There have been plenty of real life villains.

Hitler was just misguided I suppose.

What characters in the series do you think are as close to untouchable to dying? Also, who do you think is definitely dead at the end of the series (assuming he doesn't kill off everyone).?

My untouchables are:

Arya

Tyrion

Dany

Bran and Jaime are maybes.

Then again, I thought Jon Snow was untouchable, but it looks like he's dead.

My dead by the end:

Cersei

Baelish

Stannis

@sapper

You do know there is a spoiler function availabe just to the left of the font selection dropdown menu in your post editor, right (special BBCode dropdown menu)? There is also a different thread marked for book spoilers if you search for it. Just sayin'. All the unnecessary blank screen scrolling is annoying.

The Hound doesn't die until after the red wedding IIRC. The death was never actually confirmed in black and white the best I can remember (it's been a few years). Much like Caetlyn, Brienne and possibly Jon Snow, you never know with GRRM.

Test

you can also spoiler /spoiler with both words bracketed as I just did here.

Ahh much appreciated - I usually post on my phone so didn't see those.
