Nobody is safe. I don't think anyone is untouchable.

The Hound is probably alive, and could truly be Azor Ahai, The Prince Who Was Promised, born amongst salt and smoke, yadda yadda yadda... He supposedly died in the SALTpans, is terrified of fire (until he meets R'hllor), and might end up having to kill Sansa for whatever reason (his Nissa Nissa?) to claim Lightbringer... Wouldn't THAT make you poo a brick!?!?!?

imo they glossed over that on the show so as not to introduce too much "magic" too soon

its much more shocking (ie demon shadow baby, dragons being born, etc) when it only happens 2 or 3 times a season

also there's a lot of well done foreshadowing in bran's dreams too

they'll have plenty of time in season 3 to flesh bran's storyline out

also i'd say a good 40% of the first book didn't make it into the show. which is why its so adorable when non-readers speculate or talk about the characters

hey now..I was a non-reader until 2 days ago!!

I had to read this though..this is the kind of situation where to really fully understand what's going on on the show, you need to read it

I got the 3rd eye reference on the crow as foreshadowing..but the bit about the crow flying with him and all that made it better..especially when he asked for some corn and he started eating it :)
