I am a Newton guy but would not be completely upset if we take Gabbert. However, I would be upset if we draft 2 more WR's in this draft.

I am probably reading in this but I think we would likely take gabbert if we traded down to 3 with Buffalo who wanted to take Cam. I think we are interested in him but apparently not as much as Newton. Frankly I don't know why that is at this point and would actually have thought he would be preferred over Newton. But I really doubt we stay at 1 and pick him over Newton. And again I can only speculate that they value production and winning foremost or you would think with a wonderlic of 42 and a more pro style system, Gabbert would be the favorite.

Objectively speaking, pretty much all of the "not interested in Gabbert" stuff has been just speculation, and that stuff is self-propagating.

They did the workouts, the private meetings, etc on him just as they did others. With that known, the whole "not interested" thing just makes no sense.
