Seems that fearsome "football IQ" didnt really do poo... i dont want this guy as a panther

You picked two of his worst games, he had three bad games this year..and you managed to pick two of them.

Let me go ahead and pull up some bad Manning games and tell you how horrible he is.

The two QBs I like the most is Ricky Stanzi and Newton, I think they would fit well with the kind of offense the Panthers run.

Ricky Stanzi:

(VS Missouri) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPeOx...eature=related

(VS Michigan State) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHjfp...eature=related

(VS Michigan) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvkswwrHbJU

Cam Newton:

(VS Kentucky) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZVlg...el_video_title

(VS Alabama) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIZ9S...layer_embedded

(VS LSU) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlHtF...feature=relmfu

I definatly like Stanzi as well, would be a great fit here, him or Tyrod Taylor as more as a developmental thing.

I actually wouldn't be suprised if he snuck up into the late first rnd. I think actually NFL GMs will see how good Stanzi is, he's very pro ready. Man I really like Tyrod Taylor, I think he's definitely going to be a starter in this league. He's very accurate, has a good arm, and of course he's fast and elusive. Here's some videos on him:

Tyrod Taylor:

(VS UNC) -

(although the UNC video wasn't one of his best games he still played well, made great throws in tight coverage, and he had a ton of drops)

(Collection of Tyrod's best play against FSU in the ACC championship game, lots of good footage on tyrod)

Very impressed, he keeps his eyes up while he is running and he constantly is reading the D, if only he was a tad more accurate and taller. I could see Stanzi in the early second, not sure about him sneaking into the first though. Good insight though.

I think is gonna be that suprise pick that happens every year, ya know the one where fans wonder where that came from.

Yeah, him keeping his eyes down the field while running is another thing I like about Taylor. Taylor really impressed me with his growth throughout his career, as a freshman and sophmore all he could do was run and occasionally make some good passes. I had written off Taylor as one of those college QBs who just rely on their athleticism and never really master the passing part, but he suprised me when he really turned the corner as a junior and improved even more as a senior.

PS: Should have had one more touchdown in that UNC game had his guy not dropped that catch lol.

Also do you know when you are able to make a thread, is it a post number thing or what?

I've been on the Tyrod wagon for a while now, unfortunately I'm still a racist according to some.

Lol, yeah I've been liking Tyrod for awhile too. I don't get why people knock Tyrod he produced at a very high level this year throwing and running, he has tons of athletic ability: great speed, elusiveness, a rocket arm. Besides the him being 6'1 thing I don't really understand why people knock Tyrod like he can't be an NFL QB.

A comparison for example: Tyrod is a much better passer than Jake Locker, he's as fast or faster than Locker, has better elusiveness, and he also played in a pro-style offense just like Locker. So besides being taller than Tyrod how in the heck is Locker rated so much higher?

Height matters.

Jake Locker is 6'2 and 4/8 of an inch, and Tyrod Taylor is 6'0 and 3/4 of an inch. So you're trying to tell me that 1 and 3/4 of an inch is enough to distinguish between a first rounder and a mid rounder?

I love watching Gabbert highlights because it's really funny when, at the hint of any sort of pressure, he begins to run for his life.

It amuses me.

I don't think he's gonna react well to blitzes in the pros at all. Even when the blitzes don't reach him he still get panicky and throws a bad pass. If he's gonna thrive he's gonna have to be behind one hell of an offensive line, if not it might get ugly.

    • Another layer to that is Ive seen Seattle has been in the market for CB help this off-season.   Michael had a higher PFF grade than Horn who got 15 games this season. He wants to be here too, that's a huge bonus for any 5 win team that had awful pass rush.  The 7th rounder Michael Barrett didn't last long on Seattle, he was cut before the season I think and ended up on browns PS. He's already been on 5.......5 teams within one year.......
    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
