Would you make this trade to move up into to second round?

Would you trade a 3rd ( and possibly switch the other 3rd with some team ) and next years 2nd to trade up and grab Marvin Austin?

We need a DT, its very obvious, and Austin has the skill.

I would do it in a heart beat, get Austin and try to sign Aso ( I hope they atleast TRY to sign him, we got the cash ) and that D is looking REAL good IMO.

If the NFL approves player trades today, how about Smitty and Pickles to NE for one of their later 2nd's?

Don't laugh, NE has been rumored into seriously looking for a backup to very slowly groom for 3 plus years behind Tom.

Of course they may just take Dalton with their first pick tonight which would nix that.

I think Austin is overhyped and I don't think he's worth trading anything that great for. I might do it for Paea like somebody said.

no future picks! we aren't going to compete next season. there is no reason to go into desperation mode and trade the farm away for a single player.

just once I want to go into a draft with all picks.

This year's 3rd would have to be the first 3rd rounder we have. We can't move the other. Add next year's 2nd and a team would probably bite. Marvin Austin or Paea would be a great pick. We still have to address the CB position, but adding Austin and Newton is a good start for our rebuilding IMO.

i hope we trade into the middle of the 2nd maybe ahead of the Vikings who said they are going to take a TE during the draft. if we do trade up, I dont really care whether it is Marvin Austin, Kyle Rudolph, Da'Quan Bowers, or Stephen Paea. maybe Aaron Williams. Bowers would be my last choice, but if hes there, its worth the risk. we could be getting someone who is worth the #1 pick in the 2nd.

In 2nd round, there will be atleast 3 more QB's, most of the teams have already drafted DLine, so else would be looking to draft Austin in 2nd given their other needs?
