Given we're modeling our offense to be similar to San Diego's would he not be a good pick-up? 6'5 204 lbs. Here's a link to his combine info.

I'd love to see us add a mismatch like this outside, and in the redzone. He along with (Gettis 6'3) could really open up our vertical game as they both have the ability to go up over smaller defenders to make plays vertically. I think that would be a great asset to either of our QB's.

I think having him and LaFell would be good, becuase I think they bring out the best in each other.

Terrence Toliver 2009 Stats

53 receptions

735 yards

3 touchdowns

Brandon LaFell 2009 Stats

57 receptions

792 yards

11 touchdowns

Since Smith is probably on his way out, I could see Toliver with the Panthers or Darvin Adams

Maybe this depth chart

1. David Gettis

2. Brandon LaFell

3. Kealoha Pilares

4. Terrence Toliver/Darvin Adams

5. Armanti Edwards

Or if Smith decides to stay,

1. Steve Smith

2. David Gettis

3. Brandon LaFell

4. Kealoha Pilares

5. Terrence Toliver/Darvin Adams

6. Armanti Edwards

A young but fast and strong receiving corp.

I really don't think after the moves we've made via the draft, and the moves to come via Free Agency that Smith will leave (or rather he's to valuable to us to trade).

Like a poster above me a line-up of-

1-Steve Smith

2-David Gettis

3-Brandon LaFell

4-Kealoha Pilares

5-Terrance Tolliver

6-Armanti Edwards

Is packed with a lot of potetial, size, and speed. I think it would provide good depth (barring any injuries), and is a good foundation to continue to build upon. I can envision 4-5 receiver looks with Smith in the left slot, Pilares in the right slot with Gettis, and LaFell on the outside, along with Shockey (seems like we all forget he's on the team) and even Toliver at times lined up tight to the line.

I feel like if we can get better QB play this season we can surprise a lot of the talking heads as we have more talent on our roster than we have been given credit for.

would be nice, we could try to get a 7th for AE to make space for him. I would like to see all our WRs over 6'3"

    • I would write “give remmers tight end help” on a yellow sticky note and stuck it in shulas playbook the night before superbowl 50.
    • And don’t worry about Bryce he will be great… Peyton Manning had a horrible rookie year too 😂
    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are the good fan because you never say negative stuff about the team.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
