battle of the tablets

what do you plan on using it for just so I know?

a toy mostly! some internet from the couch, travel etc. It's certainly not a need.

My wife kinda wanted ome so we did some research and played with the Xoom, iPad2 and the new one by Toshiba I think and she decided she liked the iPad best.

In the end, we decided that a tablet was mostly just a toy and we didn't really NEED one.

agreed...thing is, I have essentially $500 from work to spend on something, so I was thinking an Ipad 2 or equivalent or a PS3...but we have a 360 and a Wii and hardly use either, so thought the pad might be the way to go.

I'm on my iPad a lot - easy to check FB before dinner or bed, some nice games to wind down with while the wife watches TV, Netflix works great on it - no it's not a necessity but it does some cool things - like I have a remote control for my LG BluRay on it, so when the kids are watching something in the living room I can control the movie over WiFi and drive them nuts.

I don't see the use in tablets. That's just me though.

I didn't either until I got one (won a contest at work).

It is nice to be able to internet surf, check e-mail, and play games on something larger than my phone without having to fire up my computer. And this from a guy who's not a huge fan of touch screens.

    • Even if he beats the odds, returns midseason  and plays like he did last year it won’t warrant a big contract extension.
    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
