i cant say he's the 5th famous face in the NFL. Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Brees are top 4 faces already and i think guys like Rivers, Ryan and Vick are more noticed right now. in time though (and if he's great) he will be top 5 maybe higher.

I think everyone underrates vince young. if we get a vince young without the mental problems i think it'd still be a win for carolina.

I couldn't agree more. Vince Young has been nowhere near a failure on the field, in fact he's been quite the opposite in terms of winning percentage when he's allowed to start. The problem with Young, seems to me, is he's legitimately mentally ill. Not as in, "this guy's a jerk," more like "this guy has very serious mental problems and belongs in a facility."

Rivers and Ryan might be elite QB's, but I don't think they are famous faces outside of big NFL fans. I could ask my wife's friends to pick Manning and Brady out of a lineup no sweat, but they couldn't ID Rivers or Ryan. Maybe Cam now, but there's an obvious bias there.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
