Said it before, will continue to say it, the never wanted to negotiate. Dbag Smith was brought in to try and break the NFL and create a free market system. My belief is not to only do it for the NFL but for ALL professional sports then he gets elected to Washington in some way which is his real agenda.

only problem is the courts don't care what's best for the league. the courts don't care about parity. they don't care what viewers do. if smith can make a better argument or find a sympathetic judge then we could very well see the end of what we know as the NFL.

what would happen, though, is that congress would get involved and then the president. you may think i'm joking, but it would happen. they love mingling if they think it can win them votes. don't matter if they are democrat or republican. they can't help but get their fingers in the pot and waste tax payer money.

Labor law favors the owners and the appeals courts should fallow the law. They have so far and the players are still sitting there stuck.

If for some reason the appeals court sides with the owners you will see them shut down. When they do, yeah you are gonna see congress and the president get involved. That is the last thing the players are going to want.
