This one is hard for me to answer, as I've never been in the business of slagging off the girls. Writing about the industry is not any different than writing about sports. If you upset the wrong people (especially talent), it makes access really difficult.

I've had girls flake on interview appointments and the like, but you get used to that kind of thing. If I'm honest, I rarely got really really angry with the girls, and more often than not felt sorry for them since it was usually due to being emotionally fugged up and strung out on drugs or the like.

I have, admittedly, had some reasonably well publicized feuds with some guys in the industry- mostly unscrupulous directors/producers (one of them who once had his own reality show), agents, and so on. My pseudonym is mentioned at least a couple of times on Wikipedia, for instance.

I've also had some serious words with some publicists who screwed me over on access to events and interviews, but we usually kissed and made up.

I won't go into details here, though, because I do have a professional life to maintain, and things do get around.

It wouldn't be hard for folks to put two and two together.... Panthers fan who used to live and work in Charlotte and now lives in Amsterdam.

And Lexi Belle? Don't know a lot about her, but I see her flicks come across my desk here and there. She's a cutie!

I couldn't say for certain. The company I worked for did not produce any content, and during the period where I wrote about the industry, I worked for an entity that dealt specifically with internet traffic. While writing about the porn industry was my job on the surface, my actual agenda, at least in the eyes of my employers, was to filter traffic to adult sites. I however largely did whatever the fug I wanted to and was lucky to get away with it to the extent I did- meaning I did my masters' bidding, but just enough to be able to keep my integrity as a writer.

I do seem to remember that the laws on the matter in NC were rather vague, as laws often are. Where one criteria would be considered illegal, a very similar criteria with just a couple of variables changed would not.

More or less correct.

All of Adam & Eve's corporate operations are based out of Hillsborough, NC. I'm a pretty good acquaintence of their publicist. Spoke to her today over IM, in fact. And yes, she's crazy hot.

However, their production wing is located in San Fernando Valley outside of Los Angeles. It might, specifically, be Chatsworth, CA, but I can't be certain of that right now. The booze is starting to hit me.

Most of the major adult companies (at least the ones that specialize in DVD) are located in Chatsworth. I know there's a deli somewhere, the name escapes me, where all the big wigs go for lunch. The only problem is that the actual shooting takes place all over greater Los Angeles, so porn star hunting might be a bit skint.
