Anyone else expect the Redskins throw the 2011 season to get Andrew Luck?

It's in plain sight people. Syder is going to abuse the new rookie wage scale to get his hands on Andrew Luck next season at a price LOWER than Peyton Manning's 1997 six-year $48 million contract!

I know it's been pretty vogue for fans to side with the owners regarding the recently agreed upon rookie wage scale but it should be noted that the knife on that issue cuts both ways.

Somebody is going to get the greatest bargain in NFL history next season and I know that truth is not lost on the morally-bankrupt owner of the Washington Redskins.

With your theory (not bashing it when I say this) perhaps a lot of teams in the NFL with bomb their season.

We would see some very crummy football at times.

Intentional interceptions only to be intentionally dropped and attempted to be intentionally hook-and-laddered to a player on the offense.

Kinda mind blowing huh? lol

Absolutely not! What if Luck away from Harbaugh, is not the QB everyone thought he was/is? Even worse, what if he sustains a career ending injury toward the end of the year? Besides, with the questions/troubles the 'skins have, they might come across a high first round pick honestly.

    • Sellers is absolutely one to keep an eye on. Could be the next Cam or could be the next Anthony Richardson. Curious to see how he has progressed come this fall.
    • I think Texas could go 0-12 and he would still go #1 based on his name and traits like you say.  But nusselman and sellers may be actually better qbs.    Man if bryce stinks it up this season its looking like a damn good year to swap out qbs.  Sellers highlights are just fuging jaw dropping
    • I mean, the kid comes from a wealthy family. It's not like he needs the money. He has a ton of potential now we get to see what he can do as a starter. Everyone penciling him in as the #1 overall pick is putting the cart way before the horse. It's 5% because of his talent and what he's showing on the field and 95% because his last name is Manning. And if he is what he's hyped to be the Texas coaching staff needs to be answering some tough questions about why the kid wasn't on the field sooner. Ewers was a good college QB but he's definitely not a "keep a future #1 overall pick waiting" type of college QB. Only getting one season out of a top NFL talent because you chose to keep him buried behind a borderline NFL talent is just coaching negligence. Not starting him as a true freshman? Yeah, I get that. But on year two if the kids is what he's hyped to be you gotta wish Ewers well elsewhere and turn the page.
