Captain America; Anybody seen it yet?

I thought it was the worst of all the Avengers movies so far. Thor, Hulk and Ironman 1 & 2 were way better. I still did not really dislike it though. I enjoyed it ok I guess. I was a story that had to be told to make the Avengers movie work, but as a stand alone movie, I just dont think it was that good.

I decided to see a movie in the theater this summer. Between this and Cowboys and Aliens. I am waiting until next week to see C&A.

Definitely wanna see that one as well....there are just some movies that are just meant to be seen on the big screen.

It was alright, not bad, but all the other Marvel Studios movies since Iron Man have been better.

Mostly just a boring, subpar director. The whole movie was summed up when it finally got to the point of Cap being Cap and kicking Hydra's ass, and we got treated to a brief montage of it instead.

Last night, SciFi channel had on the 1992 Golan/Globus Captain America movie. It was better than the HULK movies, but was really a poor movie.

This one has to be better. I was a huge fan of the comics when I was a kid. I'll check it out this week.

They also played the Captain America movies from the 70's, I and II (when he was a retarded motorcycle ridin, clear shield throwing, A-Team Van wanna be driving son-of-a-gun) marathon.

    • Just stop, man. All the college stats don't matter. Plenty of guys who put up big numbers in college flop in the NFL and you and I both know that there are 1st round and top 10 busts every year. While we definitely hope T-Mac isn't one and we hope he proves to be a great NFL WR, you can't assume poo about a rookie who hasn't played a down of NFL football yet.
    • therein lies the problem.  Carry on
    • Again, it's not about performance, it's purely a statement about his ability as a football player. Which right now, is better than Chark ever was, I don't understand how that is a controversial statement. This isn't someone who had a 1,500 yard season with a dozen touchdowns while being a threat the other team was afraid of on every snap.  It's literally a guy who had a couple good games and then was just peppered with targets in the others because the team had no other viable WRs and he still barely cracked 1,000 yards, and then was barely even a JAG for the rest of his career outside that one season. Just look at it this way, take names aside, you're saying a guy who's peak was 1,008 yards and 2nd best season was 706 yards, was a better football player at that time than a WR who was just taken in the Top 10 and had multiple teams trying to trade up to get them. That's beyond asinine thinking.  I'm genuinely not even sure Chark would make the argument himself if he was being completely honest and objective about it.
