Panthers Defense Needs An Answer...

Hope he does well for you guys.

In all honesty though, I have no idea how Meeks will respond to this guy especially since I still believe he was brought in more to work on the secondary than the line or the LB's. And I have no clue what direction Tampa is taking as a team yet and probably won't have an opinion on that until after the draft.

The guys got potential in the proper system. At this point though, I don't know if Tampa is that system.

Thanks....How did you guys do against Turner? Meeks run defense will be tested, I believe by both Atlanta and us.

As far as our direction, Jags runs a more downfield version of the west coast, not even sure if you can call it west coast. It will be a welcome change from Gruden's dink and dunk short stuff.

I'm not reading thru all of these pages but if the Sucs can get an OL then I'll be 'concerned' ;)

they already have a very good o line and were good last year as well.

you think earnest graham was doing well because of how good he is?

Yea...it's tuff to shake that stigma that we have (rightfully so) carried for a number of years about the bad Oline. Things have changed after a few drafts and the young guns are starting to show their butts.

Don't know what changes you guys are making, I know money is tight. But if you keep on keepin on with the same guys, that was good enough for a title last year. You are the team to beat in the south.....and we will spend some cap to try and do it. 122.gif

i look forward to the next low end free agent tampa decides to ridiculously overpay

As far as I'm concerned, most of the deals we have read about with any team has been overpaid with the exception of ours with Ward. He wanted 6 years 35 mil at the start of free agency. We gave him 17 mil 4 years. We passed on the rediculous Haynesworth deal, thank God.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
