Tailgate flag pole

I'll be flying my Panthers flags high this year in the lot. Has anybody ever made a tailgating flag pole out of PVC? Curious about a base and hardware for the flags. I'm looking to buy one that has a base that goes under your car tire. And the pole extends like 20'. $109 from this local flag company in Charlotte. But if I can make one that is decent, why spend the cash?

I've seen people rig them with pvc to screw into the hitch..almost like a hitch cover. Shouldn't be too hard if you want to save the cash

Grab a pool skimmer pole. They are cheap, fairly tough, and extend pretty long.
