3100 yards rushing at 5 ypc and 22 touchdowns in his first 2 nfl seasons with nothing resembling a passing game to take pressure off of him and ever defense specifically trying to shut him down.

yeah he's fuging overrated as hell

Not to mention the single-game rushing record as a rookie...

Overrated means people are praising a player way TOO MUCH.

even tho the noise has quieted down some...deangelo williams.

just like someone said about delhomme earlier in the thread...

outside out pantherdome, williams is considered a very good RB and part of carolina's rushing attack.

inside panther kingdom...williams is jesus christ in pads, and he carried the team.

the first half of the season when williams was playing average, carolina was 6-2.

the second half when he put up terrific numbers, the panthers went 6-2.

hmmm.

i hate to say it but i have to agree completely with this. its funny how early in the season the coaches turned to Stewart to save them rather than Williams. Williams and Stewart is our running game, Williams is just a major part of that.
