In retrospect... are you happy that we already used our 1st round pick last year?

Problem I had is the Stewart pick. Last years draft was deep in RB's and We took Stewart way to early. We should have taken Otah in the first round and used our our second for a RB. We could have kept our 4th round pick too.

West Virginians are an ornery lot...

No, because as good as Stewart is, I still think they should have drafted Otah with the 13th pick and then picked William's backup/complement in the 2nd round. That whole first round debacle was based on the premise that Williams wasn't a capable starter. Talk about a two RB system all you want but you don't pick a RB 13th overall to be a complement to your starter. I can't be completely satisfied with such inept talent evaluation (regarding Williams).

And I completely disagree with your assessment of the Panthers evaluation of Williams, but that's JMO...

You believe that they were 100% sold on Williams being a solid starter, yet still drafted Stewart with the 13th pick? Perhaps, you believe Williams hadn't shown enough for them to make that evaluation?

No, I firmly believe that they had the foresite, I know it's an interesting concept, to think they would have one of the best one/two punches in the NFL for years if they got this bargain running back. Remember, the Panthers surgeon did the surgery on Stewart toe, so no other team had that inside information. What they wanted was to return to that smashmouth running game that is the John Fox standard. They got it. They wouldn't have had it with Williams alone. Let it go, Williams is the man now and it was all by plan...

Let it go? I'm not allowed to have my opinions?

Yes, Williams is the man but that's why the move irks me. There were good RBs available in the second round of last years draft. Sorry, but I will never agree with drafting a RB 13th overall, when you already have a guy that's good enough to handle 60-70% of the carries. Would anyone think it was a smart move for the Falcons or Vikings to draft a RB in the first round, just to complement Turner and Peterson respectively?

I'm happy with what we have now but it's more a luxury than a necessity. We could have had a great running game and kept the traded draft picks.

My only concern is Otah's ability to stay healthy.

Gross has missed one game in all his years.

Otah...well...I don't know. He is a fine run blocking right tackle and he's learning pass protection. The question becomes, is he durable enough...maybe this year was a fluke with the injuries.

I guess this coming year will tell a little more on that front.

Sure you're allowed your opinions, but when you directly ask me a question am I not allowed to answer? You let it go sir...

Never said you weren't allowed to answer. I guess saying "let it go" is easier for you than actually responding to my arguments.

You had no arguments, only opinions, that's all it was. I offered my opinions and you told me to get the f*ck out. That's all I've seen so far. You have not submitted any evidence to shore up your position, neither have I. That's because there are none, on either side. Don't try to get holier than thou. It's all opinions and nothing more, period. Stewart was a great pickup for a two back system which is what the vast majority of teams are moving to.

We are a defined as a run first offense that didn't have that option. We knew better than 31 teams in a 32 team league that Stewart could be the man. End of discussion, either you are full of sh*t or you have an agenda, which is it?...

You've caused me to miss the NCAA selection show, I'm not happy about that...

Really, it's just my opinion?!? Thank you captain obvious. Most anything we write on here is just our opinions. That's what it's all about. Just because I don't feel the need to be redundant and write something like "IMO" or "JMO", doesn't mean that I think my words are fact. I figure that people have the sense to realize that I'm simply offering up my opinion, unless I'm quoting hard facts, such as stats.

BTW, where did I tell you to get the fu** out? I did the exact opposite. I asked you to elaborate on your counterpoint by saying more than "let it go."

I'm sorry that I forced you to stay on here instead of watching the NCAA selection show. I didn't realize that I had the power to force someone to stay at their PC.

You're a cute little guy, you know that? Who was the first to say "let it go"? Now you come in all high and mighty and still haven't given me anything to discuss, you're the one that keeps directing me to discuss your arguments which is all I did from the beginning, what do you want? I don't get into internet fights very often but when somebody comes directly after me I do not back down. Your platform is ludicrous and has been from the beginning. Stand down little man, just stand down...

Yes, I can be an azzhole when provoked...
