Green Bay? Playoffs? Unrealistic? Fine: let's talk reality!

I can understand why talks of beating Green Bay, or talks of playoffs are going to be met with giggles, laughter, sarcasm and smirks.

What I can't understand, is why people continue to use the word reality, or realistic when talking about our chances this season. Because the reality of the situation, today, at the present time.....is that we are in fact at the top of the division, even with a losing record. That is a fact.

That is reality. Now that may change this Sunday, and I understand that, and I understand some people's reasonable expectations are that in fact we will likely fall, but all I'm saying is....until that time comes....we are in fact leading our division for the race to the playoffs so can't we just enjoy it while it lasts?

I don't care what happens in the NFL, in the AFC, or even the NFC, with the exception of the wild card race. The only thing that matters is what happens in the NFC South. And that's the beauty of the NFL. Green Bay may be the biggest dogs in town right now, and there may be teams that are smoking in the AFC....but there are 15 games left to play folks.

And all I know is that every single year, throughout the course of a season, teams that start off without a chance in hell can end up looking unbeatable late in the season, while other teams that seem lock-ins to win the Superbowl, self-destruct.

So all I ask from those naysayers, is to simply wait and enjoy the moment, if it is there, which it currently is, while we have it. Don't be afraid to be happy, excited, in love, or behind your team out of FEAR of what's going to happen Sunday, or the week after that.

You bunch of wusses!

Beautifully written. Most "fans" here won't understand what that means, but to those of us who scream at the TV week in and week out get it. While our wives or others look at us as if we're crazy while watching the game, we are the fans. Others who just get on here after catching highlights... Not people I consider fans. These are the people who stir up the most poo on this site.

It's easy to find these individuals... Just watch sports center and wait 15 min... Someone will undoubtedly regurgitate a pooty line from a talking head just so that they seem to know what they're talking about... It happens all the time, I just don't call them on it... Not worth the time or effort! I love my Panthers and would never allow other peoples opinions good/bad to influence me one way or another. I live for football. There are only a select few people on here that are even remotely "on it" when it comes to this team! The rest is white noise and BS!!!

And just for the record, if we do beat GB Sunday, we will become THE team to beat in the NFC South, because the Saints....previously seen as the best team in the NFC South, got their asses kicked by them. We beat GB you're going to see a whole new attitude and outlook when talks of the NFC South and Carolina Panthers come around. Just imagine how this team will feel if for the rest of our divisional games we can go in with the attitude that we are the first team to take down the defending Superbowl Champions. You can't BUY that kind of confidence! We literally are 1 win, this Sunday's win, from turning our whole image around 180 degrees! This game is more important than you could possibly imagine for out team's morality, so start making some freaking noise! Go to the game if you have money! Scream your lungs out during the game! Talk poo. Whatever it takes to help, legal or not, as long as you get away with it! If you work in the GB's packers hotel, reset their alarm clocks. Stall them before the game. Put ex-lax in their orange juice! Help out! BE A FAN!

Yeah, because the transitive property works in the NFL.

See this is what I'm talking about. Always gotta have a negative spin on things and kill my buzz. Why?

Wait and see if we become at least 0-3 before thinking like that. Even non-fans are excited! The media's excited! Why can't you be?
