Cam Newton 432 yards passsing

He played like what he is - a rookie with insane potential. Rookies make rookie mistakes - even number one overall picks. I am seriously upset about the loss given that we basically beat ourselves but I remain excited about the potential for this team.

It is possible to be upset about a loss and still see the positives that came from it you know. Yes we have poo to work on but we are far from as destitute as we were last year and frankly I see this team laying it on some people later in the year.

[...] have said no numerous times.

I bet the women have said that numerous times too.

Joking.

I don't think you can blame Cam or give him too much credit. If we ran it more (and more effectively) he wouldn't have gotten the yards passing that he did (either week). But on the other hand I don't think you can blame him when we should've ran it at least once when we turned it over on downs.

Some of you guys act like we were in the playoffs last year instead of being the worst team in the league. Of course a lot of improvement is needed, but if you can't be encouraged by Cam's performance and two games where we were actually 'in it', you must be disappointed by life on a daily basis. Ask yourselves how we would have done so far with last year's QBs and Fox's offense.

I think Cam has the potential to be one of the best qb's in the NFL. I am pleased with the pick so far.

But 432 yards with only 2 td's and 3 int's is not a great game. Its not a terrible game, but its not great.

For a rookie playing in his second game against the defending Superbowl champs, it actually is great. The problem is that they're putting it all on his back right now when we need to be more balanced.

    • If Henderson just got a concussion and will possibly/probably now miss next week as well, gotta think missing 2 games of stats at this point of the year might knock him out as he was only just entering the discussion the last few weeks anyways.  Same goes for Judkins going down today too, and Dart's god awful game likely removes him from the conversation as well. It will be interesting to see how the voters compare T-Mac and Egbuka if they end up with stats that are nearly identical. Egbuka burst onto the scene and put up the bulk of his stats early in the year when Baker was playing like the MVP front runner.  While T-Mac was just more consistent throughout the course of the full season (ex. Egbuka has 8 games of 42 yards or less, T-Mac has 4 of them, while T-Mac still scored 3 TDs in those 4 games, where Egbuka only scored 1 TD in his 8). It would be a shame if they put too much weight on the final game of the season if that ends up being the division decider, as I think T-Mac has had the better SEASON while Egbuka had a better peak output during that first month or so but way cooled off since. Maybe Warren goes off in the last 3 games (they still play tomorrow), but it does seem to be down to T-Mac and Egbuka right now.
    • Mitchell Evan’s put a block on someone that he drove them all the way out of bounds and to the bench. He absolutely destroyed the guy. He’s gonna be a beast for us if he keeps that up.
    • Yall... stop taking a sample size and projecting a role player into a permanent starter cuz he had a decent year after what, 5? Come on
