Cutler Formally Requests Trade

It's shitty to see situations go so sour like that so quick. I must admit, I was talking major poo about Cutler at the Bronco's game this season, but if he was putting on a Panther's jersey every Sunday, I would have no problem with it.

I love Jake, but Cutler's someone we could give the keys to the team to for years to come.

Has to be a starting QB so it would need to be Jake and Peppers or they might go for Moore and Peppers.

IF we were to make a trade like that we would have to include Jake I would imagine. I think it might would split the team if we were to trade for Cutler and still have Jake on the team.

give em Jake and Peppers for Cutler and a defensive player

Cutler and Moss for Peppers and Jake. They are switching to 3-4 defense and Moss would struggle under that system. By that trade at least we would have another DE with alot of athletic potential.

But this will not happen. Probably not anyways. Im still on the Moore train.

even if he were someone who would be a good fit for this team and would somehow become mature and not seen as a immature punk.....

1) we have nothing that they would want (they are not going to give him up without somehow being able to get a QB of like long term value (we have no one on this roster who fits the bill and no draft picks to help them toward that end)

2) we can't trade peppers

3) they are under no obligation to trade him

4) acquiring would be far too expensive (how much would we have to give up to get him?)

oh yeah....

Wow what a messed up situation...

You go from having an up and coming young pro bowl Quaterback, to who the hell know's what. Whoever will replace him won't be half as good, at least not this year.

I'd hate to be a bronco fan right now. To see your franchise Qb leave over something so silly, with no idea of an replacement. Sucks, just sucks

McDaniels just isn't going to let his franchise quarterback leave without finding a decent quarterback to replace him.

Since he was willing to get rid of Cutler for Cassel, I'm not so sure he actually cares that much about having a decent quarterback.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
