Rivera's Remarks 9/21/11

In case you haven't noticed, we've lost both games after our rookie QB drove our offense down the field and established leads early. That means most of our 53 isn't holding up their end of the deal, so other than two incredible record setting performances by said rookie QB, what did you want people to talk about?

Jordan Pugh's recent streak of awesomeness?

How about how Jimmy Clausen's been looking in his windbreakers?

Our inability to close out games that we have two-score leads in?

YEAH! GIVE ME MORE OF THAT!!!

Smh... John Fox has a QB that might be more to your liking, so feel free to pull for them and join their message boards.

Ridiculous.

Really dude? Some of you guys take the Kool Aid through hyperdermic needle shots in the arm....screw drinking it. If you don't think Cam has any blame in the that GB loss, AMONG others, then you are nuts.

Let's see, if we started threads at the redudancy rate of the Cam threads, we should have about 10 Beason threads, 6 or 7 Davis threads, at least 4 or 5 Otah threads, and at least 2 or 3 Pugh threads. Oh, Godfrey banged his head, that should get at least two.

Jeez, I don't know...talk about how we can fix the things that we have been doing wrong since we are 0-2 after all. Maybe talk about the future of players playing well, injured or inked too lucrative deals. There are a number of subjects, some have been talked about but get flushed to the second page when Jack Hole from "I could give a rats arse" magazine jumps on the Cam band wagon. Hey guys, That's insignifcant jerk #5 that has endeared our guy!!!!! Wow, I didn't know how inferior our fan base really felt until now.

Hey the media like us...they really, really, like us. OH JOYOUS DAY!!!!!!!!!!! And further more, every clip I find on the internet I will post in a COMPLETELY separate thread, although there is an EXACT same thread saying essentially the same damn thing but with a different guys name attached to it.

I didn't know how badly egos were hurt by the lack of media attention all these years. It really damaged some guys...DEEPLY scared you it seems.

I get what you're saying, but just let the froth work itself out. There's a buttload of teams that wish they were getting their boards swamped right now.

    • It's actually interesting you mention Richardson because I've seen it suggested here Bryce will have 500 or more rushing yards and 5-10 rushing touchdowns this year. And if big Anthony Richardson can get hurt carrying the rock what's that tell you about the practicality of thinking Bryce won't?
    • I mean, I get why the media and some NFL and Carolina fans are saying that we don't have a real chance, but as many Huddlers should know, we won't know what we really have in this team until probably late September or early October at the earliest. And I'm not trying to be a homer, I'm just looking at things historically. Obviously I'm also looking at Bryce's "palatable" improvement the last half of last season (including being the catalyst for hanging with and nearly beating the Super Bowl participants), and the new additions that we've acquired overall. I'm also looking at the beginnings of a culture change--even if perceptibly subtle--to some degree indeed may take a foothold if things start falling the right way. But, overall, I'm still cognizant of the realization that things could just go south and that perhaps that Bryce could revert and flop, or that D & D (Dan and Dave) are not the answer, but I still am not ready to say "we're far away." Hell we could be close, albeit with growing pains, but even if we're on the course to bring legit in 2026, then guys like Ramsey would be welcome additions this season. That's just my take on it. I don't think we'll know that we're far away until some point in the season. If we can compete in the South...who knows?
    • You guys remember when the narrative on here was that Bryce would be chronically injured in the NFL due to his size and Anthony Richardson would be super durable due to his? You remember when the narrative was that Bryce was physically incapable of throwing a ball further than 20 yards in the NFL? You remember “I’ll stop complaining when he throws for more than 200 yards and looks like an NFL quarterback”? You remember when 60 sacks was his fault and not the offensive line, slow WRs, and terrible scheme? Pepperidge Farm remembers. It will always be something for some people. Whatever insanity they come up with will be quickly dropped to move on to the next thing. Bryce could have an MVP Super Bowl winning season and they would complain that we can’t run the tush push with him. It will always be something.
