Article about Shock's Concussion

As a Saints fan I can assure you Shock is a pure beast when 100% ....but over the past two seasons, he hasnt been 100% for the entire year. His play mimics his style. Hard nosed, reckless abandon to make that play. He doesnt shy from contact, and had no problem taking on DE and LB in blocking. Heck, he mentored our current TE Jimmy Graham and if you havent seen him, he is a carbon copy ( just younger and still more learning to do ) of J-Shock when talking about "on field persona" and abilities.

For that, his body has taken a beating over the years and is starting to catch up. This was the most "unfulfillng" part of his time here...he could have had a much bigger role in our offense which would have made us even deadlier, but it was just he couldnt stay 100% week in, week out.

I wish him the best and hope he doesnt stay in the game past his "shelf life". Too good of a person to sacrafice his older years.

    • We don't have to tear down Dak to appreciate what Bryce did yesterday. Dak had 0 running game. If the cowboys were better, he'd be a legit MVP candidate if he keeps playing this way.  They did it with Ceedee last year, but they do a better job of anybody we play consistently of getting their best receiver off Jaycee.  Bryce was good too. If we just catch the ball that was intercepted, we probably win by 7+, and Bryce goes over 200 yards passing.  Biggest shift the last few weeks has been play calling. I thought Canales abandoned the run game way to early at times last year. This year he really seems to be sticking with it.  I still think Chuba is better at making 4 yards when there's nothing there, but Rico is better at making 30 yards when there's 6 there. I like the direction. Hopefully we can get Moton, Sanders and Coker back and really be dangerous. Our play action game is pretty deadly right now.  Unrelated: My favorite quality about Bryce right now is his ability to see the defensive hold and throw the ball there. He EXPOSES the officials when they don't call it. That one on Tetaroia yesterday late in the game was a bad miss on their part.
    • That sacks allowed number lookin juicy!
    • This is a game the Panthers should win... just the sort of game they lose. The Panthers have a bad habit that goes back years of playing down to the competition's level only to mess around and lose the game. The Jets game should be taken very seriously! But I want to enjoy the fact that they beat the Cowboys for at least another day or so!
