Seeing Steve beat the crap out of Roman Harper was awesome.

The Saint's are a lot like the bullies at a local high school. They have a large reputation for cheap shots, being dirty-but they really aren't as bad as they claim to be. I knew that the New Orleans Saints were a dirty team, but I didn't know they played like that. Their entire team is an embarrassment to professional sports. It was GREAT to see the entire team step up and beat the crap out of Roman Harper after that cheap shot. That guy got pwned on a Andre Johnson-Cortland Finnegan level-and played scared the rest of the game. It was hilarious to see Roman try to take on Steve and absolutely have his manhood handed to him on a silver plate in front of God and everybody-he deserved it-and honestly deserved much worse. Hope he gets a fine for such a blatant late hit later in the week-especially after admitting he did it on purpose. As I said, I knew New Orleans coached their players, defense especially, to play dirty, but didn't think they would be downright amateur.

Don't mess with 89. He'll embarrass you every time.

Roman Harper/Malcom Jenkins, who cares?

All overrated New Orleans DB's who would be exposed without Drew Brees on the other side of the ball. I'm as giddy as Rivera was to see the whole team step in and beat the crap out of the chump. Don't come into our house and start taking cheap shots.

That wasn't even Harper that everyone ganged up on. It was safety, Malcom Jenkins.. One of the smallest guys on that side of the ball.

And, while I agree that the late hit by Harper was wrong, Smith had no business doing what he did to Jenkins. Hitting someone as they've just crossed the goal line (and celebrating before he even got there), is questionable. Grabbin someone by the face mask, and trying to break their neck is on a whole 'nother level.

Harper should have been penalized, as he was, and a fine issued (which probably will happen). Smith should have been ejected from the game for what he did. Remember, folks, this is just a game.. Do you really think that Smith would have felt great about what he did, had he broken Jenkins' neck with that stunt? I doubt it..

With all of the stupid/childish comments going on here between BOTH sides, I hope that some folks can see it for what it is. I'm a Saints fan, and I think that Carolina WILL be a dangerous team in the coming years. So, I respect what's going on over there. But, I was disappointed with the conduct of both teams today, and how the refs handled things.

May I also take this moment while there are some Saint fans viewing this thread, To pull Jimmy Graham's man card for that basketball style flop.

I havent seen a football player make a more embarrassing play like that in a long time. The fact that he had sucha dramatic flop against someone so much smaller than him takes away from any positives he had in that game.

Straight. Up. Vagina.

*shrug*..

(Shockey) 3 receptions for 21 yards

(Graham) 8 receptions for 129 yards

I'm not going to sit here and make childish comments. But, with those stats, it's pretty clear who the "man" is.

They all flop.. whatever you can do to get a penalty. It's nothing new.

No no no no, Theres reacting to certain contact, during the game of play, which is still pretty lame.

But Jimmy Graham went full on soccer player mode and looked like a bitch doing it.

(p.s.) Greg Olsen is our starting tight end, not shockey. Olsen had a TD and no flopping.

So Olsen>Graham.

    • I truly do not understand why we rushed him back last season, we were a bad team with an already productive back in Chuba. Brooks looked like he was 60% back and clearly hadn’t regained full movement in his knee and confidence, no surprise he got reinjured. Shame on this training staff, look no further then Chuba returning too soon this season, I don’t care how bad a player wants to come back a training staff is there to protect them. Brooks is a great person and was an amazing player prior to both injuries, I hope he’s recovering well.
    • Brother thanks for sharing and all. Just for a 21 year army guy you sure over used your brain power on this interaction little too much...  Not that's Im taking a side or nothing, Ive never been a bully fan * in extreme deals bullying in needed..... I've heard from smart people in and around Panthers, Smitty needed Angie for guidance BADLY.  I've honestly thought if Smitty was born 20 years later, he should have taken a MMA path and not only would he have been a champion but a humbled good man with or without Angie helping him. He has never took off the enmoureous chip on his shoulder and it has branched off as a stick in arse over time too. Still everyone can not be or act the same with emotions, we are chemical sacks of water and bones. He reminds me of brain-washed individuals that can not turn off the switch. Plus he is high on thinking he's smarting than he is.......its a dangerous combo, but that's mainly what gave him the edge in life to live out the American dream......soooo I dare say change, but its sad at the same time. All those poor women that get involved with narcissistic disloyal men, one of the few times I agree to take what ever form them in court...
    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
