I didn't know so many of you wore panties......

bottom of the barrel D --- young & talented, yet undisciplined D

Fox & Davidson --- Rivera, Chud, & McDermott

JR depleting roster --- JR pulling the trigger on Cam & resigning/extending ALL core players

Seriously! How much improvement does it take to satisfy you ungrateful bastards? Look at the drastic improvements in our roster, coaching, & owner's demeanor over the past 9 months.

Our team had 1 freaking month to implement a totally new offense, defense, & philosophy. Cam had 1 freaking month of preperation. Rivera is a freaking rookie HC.

In 9 months, & a ridiculously short offseason, the Panthers have gone from the NFL's worst team to one that is a few pieces away from winning the Super Bowl. And it's coming; this group will win the Super Bowl. Stop all the nonsense & enjoy watching this team's growing pains as they transform into an elite team & Super Bowl Champions.

Either grow a pair, buy a pair, steal a pair, or just quit fronting & put on panties. All this bitching needs to stop.

not really bitching just disappointment

it's a different type of disappointment though. last year it was "*** are we going to be the next Lions/Rams/49ers/etc and be terrible for the next decade???"

this year it's "holy fug we could be 5-0 right now but we're making some mistakes at crucial times"

if that makes any sense

plus pretty sure 90% of us are drunk and posting the first thing that comes to mind which usually isn't a good idea

Most of the sentiment in "improving" is picking up small pieces. I think a lot of people forget Hogan and Edwards are on IR right now, which is killing us. With Beason and TD, that is 4 defensive starters (well, at least 3) that we don't have right now. Offensively, people want to see just one more guy who can just burn defenses like Smith.

Really, Smitty has us spoiled. We're so used to having (IMO) one of the best WRs to ever play the game that we fear the day he retires and leaves us, so we want to know we have that same caliber type of guy around. It's unfortunate, but it is reality.

I agree with you though, this bitching about how we need to improve at all these positions is ridiculous. We're young and injured. That is what it boils down to. And even so, we're fuging competing with TOP TIER teams in this league. That says a LOT about where we are. I know, I know, fug moral victories. But dammit, it is reality. It is fact.

Mpst folks aren't bitching about the players or the team and we know we might be good in a year or so. Most complaints seem to be about missed opportunities, miscues and self-destructing. The Rams last year showed that you can drastically improve in a year. Even Fox took a 1-15 team and turned it into a 7-9 team in a year. With a worse quarterback than we have now. It is hard to sit back and watch us get close but not finish. That isn't about growing a pair but whether you are fine with always looking ahead with the old "wait until next year" mantra versus expecting them to deliver now and being disappointed when they don't. Seems the fans who set few expectations and are happy with whatever happens are the ones who need a pair.

    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
    • Ok LT and Petersen are a cut above everyone else to me cmc and Faulk are interchangeable on this list.  though Faulk was better career wise
