My thoughts on the Falcons game

This is is the first game I haven't been drunk during in a while.....made the loss more painful but I observed some things.

1. Cam made some great plays and some great reads but also made some questionable throws into dangerous coverage.

2. His first 2 interceptions were freakishly lucky for Atlanta. That DT catches that ball with 1 freaking hand, probably only INT in his career.

3. We run inside too much with Williams. I know this seems obvious to us so why are not seeing toss plays, power, or strech plays?

4. I think Matt Ryan sucks and Atlanta has one more decent year before they wear down Turner and thoroughly expose how sorry Ryan is.

5. Unfortunately, I think we are more than 1 year away from playoffs. We need two more years of good drafting and FA to build up our depth because injuries always happen.

6. Carolina always has some shitty luck.

7. I still love this team and think we will win every week so these losses hurt!

8. I did not comment on the obvious statement, our Run D is paying tremendously for the loss of Beason, Davis, and Edwards.

Yeah I'm almost inclined to believe the Ron Edwards injury in training camp had the most impact on our season going south. A veteran DT is a glaring need still.

2. The two int's were lucky, but they were still bad throws. The first wasn't so bad, but he should have waited a split second later, or dumped it off. The second one was thrown right to the dlineman. Even if he doesn't catch it, its still an incomplete pass in a critical series.

3. Maybe, but we can't run him outside all the time. That makes us predictable.

4. Matt Ryan played well today. His throw with Hardy in his face was big time.

5. Maybe, but if we improve dline play and get Beason back healthy, we could challenge for a playoff spot next year.

6. Bad teams find a way to lose, and that is what we are doing.

But you shouldn't beat us. You aren't anywhere close to us. Only We won by 14, almost 21, and the Saints will eat you alive in the Superdome. I'm sure you'll sweep the Bucs though. :D

Maybe I should clarify. Matt Ryan doesnt suck. But he is nothing more than a game manager with an average arm. Without a running game he can't lead a team by himself. I see no Michael Turner #2 on their team.

What sucks is that even with our team's hands tied behind their back they still could have won this game, and the games previously. We will get their it will take time. But this has probably been the most talented and competitive losing team a new regime has ever had. We will be a force next year that can be guaranteed.
