Lost Wallet, Need Advice

So if you're tired of feeling crappy about our Panthers I have a quick question for all of you Huddlers and would really appreciate any help I could get.

So at some point this past Saturday I lost my wallet or it was stolen from me while at a friends' house. There a couple people there at the house that no one knew, and my friend's purse had things stolen out of it (license, cash, cards).

So I retraced my path yesterday from when I last remembered using it till the point where I realized it was missing. That, obviously, was unsuccessful.

When I realized it was most likely a lost cause I did the obvious thing by canceling all my cards and ordering new ones. I didn't have that much cash (close to 30 dollars) so I'm very thankful for that.

My questions are: A) I ordered a new license through the DMV, but it won't be here in time for me because I am driving up to DC (from Chapel Hill, NC) on Wednesday till Saturday. Should I risk it and just use my old expired license and maybe carry a second form of id like a passport?...and/or

B.) Should I report the license was stolen to the police, so someone couldn't order a credit card in my name or something crazy like that and they could potentially provide me with something that would allow me to drive legally.

Thanks again for any helpful info you can provide, it really means a lot.

TL;DR- Lost license. Should I notify police so identity doesn't get stolen/so the police could potentially give me a temporary slip so I can make a road trip up to DC?

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
